Greens resodding project takes root at Fort Walton Beach Golf Club
As part of a project to replace the greens at the Fort Walton Beach Golf Club's Pines Course, crews have started laying down the grass sprigs that will soon become the new playing surface. The Pines Course is expected to reopen on September 1.
New restrooms delivered to Jet Holmes Park
The new restroom building for Jet Holmes Park was delivered and put into place Thursday. Weather permitting, we hope to have the sidewalks poured and the facility open in a few weeks.

A renovation project at Liza Jackson Park that was originally set to begin Aug. 3, 2026, has been rescheduled to start the week of Monday, Sept. 14, 2026.
Liza Jackson Park renovations expected to begin Monday, Aug. 3
Work is expected to begin Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, on major renovations to Liza Jackson Park. The west side of the park, including the boat launch, will close as crews begin the work.
