Unauthorized City Network Access
Wednesday morning, September 23, the City was alerted to an issue with several servers. Unauthorized access to the network had been obtained. That access was successfully cut off by our IT department, and steps were taken to secure the network.

The City of Stevens Point is experiencing citywide intermittent technology issues affecting City phone and email services. As a result, City departments may be unable to receive or respond to phone calls and emails. Emergency Services remain available.

Water St. to close between Brawley St. & Arlington Place Tues., Sep. 22,
Water St. will be closed to all traffic between Brawley St. & Arlington Place while crews repair existing underground utilities. Work is expected to be completed by the end of the day, and the roadway will reopen to traffic.
Stevens Point Police Department Awarded $2,000 Grant for New Flashlights
The Stevens Point Police Department received a grant from the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation. The department applied for the Rewarding Responders Grant to replace old, nonfunctional flashlights.
Business 51 Southside Project is Anticipated to Start Stage 4 Construction on September 17
Stage 4 will be closed to all traffic as pavements are removed and utility installation begins. Temporary gravel access will be provided to properties within the project limits.
