Carrboro Police Chief Chris Atack Announces Retirement After 28 Years of Service
As he looks toward retirement, Chief Atack plans to spend more time with his family, including his wife, Tina, and their two children, ages 20 and 16. He also plans to continue teaching BLET, pursue nature photography, travel and spend more time reading.

The Town of Carrboro’s Watershed Residential Assistance Program is now accepting Cost-Share applications from Sept. 1, 2026 through Oct. 31, 2026.
