Columbus County educators form scholarship group to tap federal tax credit

Educators in Columbus County, one of NC's poorest, have formed a nonprofit to tap the new federal scholarship tax credit for public school students. They aim to accept donations Jan. 1, but the state's approval process doesn't exist yet.
