Burlington’s Trick-or-Treat night is set for October 31st!
Burlington’s Trick-or-Treat night is set for October 31st! Citywide Trick-or-Treat will run from 5:30–7:30 PM, and Safe Trick-or-Treat will be held at the Port of Burlington from 6:00–8:00 PM.

MIDDLETOWN, Iowa — The city of Burlington is receiving a grant of more than $6.7 million from the Department of War to construct a permanent fire station serving the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant.

The Engineering Division of Public Works announced today that starting Monday, September 28, 2026, the 300 Block of Emmett will be reduced to one lane of traffic so that a contractor may repair a sewer lateral.

The Engineering Department of Public Works announced today that starting Thursday, September 17, 2026, South 9th Street from Vine Street to Angular Street will be closed so that a contractor may make road repairs where Alliant replaced gas lines.

Annual Hydrant Flushing
The Burlington Municipal Waterworks will begin flushing all fire hydrants beginning Thursday, September 10th, and will continue for the next 5-6 weeks.
