A Coast Guard crew from Air Station Sitka rescued a man earlier this week after his fishing boat sank near Murder Cove, on the southern tip of Admiralty Island.

Endangered whale discovered dead on cruise ship bow in Sitka
A cruise ship hit an endangered fin whale Thursday morning while the eleven-hundred-foot vessel was en route from Hoonah to Sitka.
