About Queens

Queens is the largest of New York City's five boroughs by area and the second most populous, and is coextensive with Queens County on Long Island. It is among the most ethnically diverse places in the world, with neighborhoods such as Flushing, Jackson Heights, Astoria, Jamaica and Corona each shaped by successive waves of immigration. Both of the city's major airports, John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia, lie within the borough, as do Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, the site of two World's Fairs and the US Open tennis championships, Citi Field, and the Rockaway peninsula's Atlantic beaches.
