Join us for a pre-Halloween double feature of two canonical films in the body horror subgenre. David Cronenberg’s The Fly (1986), which will be projected from a 35mm print, spans both horror and science fiction, following Seth Brundle, an eccentric, temperamental scientist whose teleportation experiment accidentally splices his DNA with a housefly, causing a horrifying, gradual physical and mental degradation. Dario Argento’s Suspiria (1977) follows Suzy Bannion, an American ballet student, who uncovers a deadly coven of witches controlling her prestigious German dance academy. Come for one or both films, and don’t be afraid to wear a costume!
Free concessions and a 15-minute intermission will be available between the films.
