About this event
Harvard studied people for 85 years to find out what makes a good life. The strongest predictor of happiness wasn't achievement, fitness, or income – it was relationship satisfaction at midlife.
The month of October is dedicated to the relationship between Happiness & Connection: what the research actually says about friendship, belonging, and wellbeing, and what that means for you as a college student
We'll have an open discussion for a bit, briefly talk about the research, then apply it!
The main activity is called Fast Friends, a practice adapted from psychology research designed to build closeness between two people who've just met. You'll get paired with someone you hopefully don't know and work through a set of questions based in positive psychology. It takes about half an hour and works better than you'd expect.
Come alone, come with friends – either way, you're leaving with a new one.
