Bismarck City Commission Approves 2027 Final Budget
The City’s general fund for 2027 is expected to be $81 million, an increase from last year’s $79.8 million. About $43 million of the general fund will be supported by property taxes. This is about equal to the overall costs for first responders.

Reduced Lanes at Century Avenue & 19th Street Intersection
Starting Monday July 6, 2026, the intersection of Century Avenue & 19th Street will have reduced lanes while turn lanes are re-aligned and the traffic signal is replaced.
Tyler Parkway & Cogburn Road Intersection Closed
Starting this Friday, 8/28/26, Tyler Parkway will be detoured at the intersection of Tyler Parkway and Cogburn Road. The detour will utilize Frisco Wy and Ivory Ln.
Emerald ash borer detected in Bismarck
BISMARCK, N.D. – Emerald ash borer was detected this week by Bismarck city forestry staff while removing declining ash trees. This is the first detection in central North Dakota. Emerald ash borer has also been found in Cass and LaMoure counties.
