Halloween Is Happening in Carrboro!
Carrboro Recreation, Parks and Cultural Resources is offering free, family-friendly events offer music, movies, stories, costumes and plenty of Halloween fun this October.

New lights coming to Anderson Park Tennis Courts
New lights will be installed at the Anderson Park Tennis Courts. Electricians will be on site Monday, Sept. 28 - Monday, Oct. 12. The courts will be closed until the installation is complete.

October 1–8, 2026 is Week Without Driving in Carrboro
The Carrboro Town Council has proclaimed Oct. 1-8, 2026, as Week Without Driving, encouraging residents, businesses and Town staff to experience getting around without a car and explore ways to make transportation more accessible for everyone.

Mayor Barbara Foushee will proclaim Wednesday, Oct. 7, as National Walk & Roll to School Day in Carrboro, joining communities nationwide in encouraging active, healthy, and sustainable travel to school.

2026 National Drive Electric Month Event - Saturday, Oct. 3
The free community event will offer a hands-on look at electric vehicles and give residents an opportunity to learn directly from people who drive them.
