City of Gulfport Invites Community to Lace Up for the Gulfport 5K Run/Walk The City of Gulfport invites runners, walkers, families, and fitness enthusiasts to participate in the City of Gulfport 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 3, 2026 , beginning at 8 a.m. at the Historic Gulfport Casino Ballroom . This family-friendly event offers participants of all ages and fitness levels the opportunity to experience Gulfport's beautiful waterfront while enjoying a scenic 3.1-mile course through the City's charming coastal neighborhoods and vibrant downtown district. Whether you're striving for a personal record or simply looking to enjoy a fun morning outdoors, the Gulfport 5K celebrates community wellness, local pride, and the City's unique waterfront charm. Following the race, participants are encouraged to explore Downtown Gulfport's locally owned restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and shops, making it the perfect way to spend the rest of the morning along Boca Ciega Bay. Strollers and first-time runners are welcome, making this an event the entire family can enjoy. Registration is $17 per participant , and registration will remain open through Wednesday, September 30, at 4:30 p.m. Not running? You can still support the cause! Make a donation to the Gulfport Police Department's Operation Santa and help provide holiday gifts for local children ages 0 to 10. Every contribution brings us closer to our $5,000 goal and helps make the season brighter for Gulfport families.
