11th Annual Gecko Art Show Kicks Off GeckoWorld in Gulfport Join us for the 11th Annual Gecko Art Show on Friday, August 7, from 6–8 p.m. at the Catherine Hickman Theater (5501 27th Ave. S.), marking the official launch of GeckoWorld, Gulfport’s month-long end-of-summer celebration. This year’s festivities align with the “Gecko Music Awards” theme and feature an eclectic showcase of original works by nine local artists. The exhibit highlights a range of creative expression, including bold paintings and imaginative mixed media, reflecting Gulfport’s signature artistic spirit and community charm. The kickoff event is one night only, but all artwork will remain on display at the Catherine Hickman Theater through August 22, 2026, giving visitors ample opportunity to experience the exhibit throughout the month.
