Glades County is a rural haven nestled in the heart of Florida. Clocking in at around 800 square miles, it's known for its vast freshwater marshes brimming with wildlife. Lake Okeechobee, the state's biggest freshwater lake, forms a large part of the county's eastern border, with the county seat, Moore Haven, on its southern shore. Agriculture is a major industry here, with cattle ranching and citrus groves shaping the county's economic landscape. Nature lovers are drawn to the area for the phenomenal fishing opportunities in Lake Okeechobee and the surrounding canals. Hiking, biking, and airboating adventures are also popular activities thanks to the county's network of trails.
