Brevard County
Brevard County is located in the east central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 606,612, making it the 10th-most populated county in Florida. The official county seat is located in Titusville. The county is named after Theodore Washington Brevard, an early Florida settler and state comptroller. Brevard County is known for its strong economy, heavily influenced by the John F. Kennedy Space Center. It’s also referred to as the Space Coast, and was designated with the telephone area code 321, as in "3, 2, 1 liftoff". The county spans 72 miles from north to south and is home to 16 municipalities, the Kennedy Space Center, and Patrick Space Force Base. The county’s rich history dates back to the first Paleoindians who arrived in the area near Brevard county between 12,000 and 10,000 years ago. Today, Brevard County continues to thrive as a significant hub for both residents and visitors alike.
