Public Works will repair erosion along Pinole Creek between Henry Ave and I-80 on Mon., 8/31 - Fri., 10/23/26, from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Mon. - Fri. (excl. holidays). Pinole Creek Trail will be closed near the work zone. Drivers can expect minimal delays.

Vasco Road Corridor Safety Improvement Study Report

Public Works has completed a corridor safety and improvements study on the portion of Vasco Rd located between Marsh Creek Rd and the County line. We are requesting the public review the final draft of the report and provide feedback by Tuesday, 9/15/26.

Traffic Signal Activation at Mt. Diablo Scenic Blvd & Diablo Rd

Public Works has completed the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Mt. Diablo Scenic Boulevard and Diablo Road/Blackhawk Road. The traffic signal was activated and in full operation on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Martinez Resident Charged with Murder, Faces Special Circumstance Allegation

Martinez, California – The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office filed a felony complaint charging 36-year-old Marcos Eduardo Iriarte-Valdez of Martinez with the murder of Todd Stewart of Martinez, who was 68 years old at the time of his death.
