The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County (DOH-Okaloosa) has lifted a health advisory for Cinco Bayou in Fort Walton Beach. Sampling of the waters in the area have resulted in bacterial levels below the advisory level.

As part of a project to replace the greens at the Fort Walton Beach Golf Club's Pines Course, crews have started laying down the grass sprigs that will soon become the new playing surface. The Pines Course is expected to reopen on September 1.
